This introductory course is designed to open the world of astrology to you.
Format: Two Sundays and four Tuesday evenings. Evening session from 7:00-9:00 PM and weekend sessions from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM

I have designed the curriculum following the CAAE (Canadian Association for Astrological Education, www.thecaae.com ) guidelines to lay a solid foundation for astrological analysis beginning with basics. Charts of students will be used to illustrate concepts and delineation.
Astrology is a complex language that gives us tools to understand not only who we are but how our lives unfold. Astrological charts are more complex than 'what is your sign'—we have all the signs built in, some are emphasized. The actual horoscopes astrologers cast are written using symbols—we will learn what these symbols are and what is in a symbol. Astrology is an ancient science, and we will take a survey into its rich history. At the completion of this course students who have completed assignments and studied the text, will be able to do rudimentary chart analysis. Students will be provided and astrological chart for their date, time and place of birth as well as up to four additional charts for family or friends (additional charts $5 each).

The Canadian Association for Astrological Education offers structured, standardized exams from Basic Astrology through to earning a Diploma in Astrology. Students who complete the introductory course may wish to continue and learn the other concepts required for the Level 1 exam.

May 20, 2012 —Horary Astrology
One of the oldest branches of astrology is horary astrology. Questions of the hour. There are rules to how questions are answered. This is an introductory workshop, depending on interest I will offer a course on the subject matter. In the course of the day we will look at the basic rules and a few example charts to illustrate the depth of the answer we can gain to our questions. June 10 , 2012 Phases of Our Lives
Life is cyclical, which is reflected by the cycles in astrology. Our lives are neatly divided into Universal periods, which we all experience at the same age. Your age alone tells us what is likely to be going on in your life. We will be examining life beginning with early adulthood--the time you are allowed to get a driver's license, purchase alcohol, etc.
We also have personal cycles that support our experience.We were each born into a unique cycle that defines our experience of life. We will be looking at how life unfolds for us in terms of transits as they interact with our predisposition.
